Que Sera, Sera !!

We knew this was going to happen sometime. It was just a matter of time …. just a matter of time. There was no point in even trying to evade the issue. It was a matter of simple acceptance. What is meant to happen, will happen – no matter what.

There are times when things get stretched to breaking point and finally there’s that last straw that totally breaks many more things than just a camel’s back. The day before yesterday was one such day.

“Mummeeeeeee ! Mummeeeeeeee !” hollered Pecan, his voice stretched and screeching almost to breaking point. “It’s gone, it’s gone” came the scream, just a few seconds later.

Not that Mommy was surprised or shocked at these screams. Mommy had heard these screams so many times that she’s ceased to assign too much of importance to these hollers.

So then, what was it that made those particular shrieks from Pecan, different ?

Those yells from Pecan were different because that day, we lost something that had been with us since Pecan was a baby. Something that has been a integral part of Pecan. Something that Pecan holds very close to his heart. Something that Pecan values a lot. Something that he cares for a lot.

(sigh) Que Sera, Sera !!

Yep, Pecan lost his first tooth that day.

Aathira, Phoenix Ritu : Welcome here and hope to see you around often.

Ro : See, you asked and I spilt the beans :). How're you doing and how are the kids ?

hm. I thought it was his voice! I realise that it has been so long since we had a child in the house - else I would have remembered that a boy's voice breaks only at 12 or 13!
